The outstanding and charming Floreal Brasserie Restaurant on the Marianne Wine Estate is the perfect setting for a relaxed lunch with little ones or a fine dining experience with your loved one. There is no compromise on standard this is the perfect combination of a fine dining experience in a child friendly setting, and it won’t break the bank.
This outstanding restaurant has a picturesque setting in the lemon orchards and vineyards of the stunning Marianne Wine Estate and is set next to a lily pond.
The outside deck overlooks the lily pond for romantics, and on the opposite side there are tables near the kid’s jungle gym for families. It is perfectly setup up for all occasions and the distance between leaves a good sound barrier (if you are wanting to enjoy a meal with no kid noise 🙂
The food is based around a modern European style with a frequently changing menu using the finest local, seasonal produce to serve the best quality food. Chef Ian has an impressive history bringing years of experience working in top UK hotels and has been head chef from a very young age. Having met the love of his life, a South African, they have made Stellenbosch their home. Having two small kids himself, Ian knows exactly how to accommodate for families starting by installing the very impressive jungle gym. There is a fantastic kid’s menu homemade by his team including calamari rings, homemade chicken goujons, grilled salmon and pasta.
The food was outstanding! For starters we had the garlic and chilli marinated Tiger Prawn candyfloss and the grilled Goats Cheese rolled in dried Kalamata olives. Both were absolutely scrumptious. For mains we had the Duo of Beef and the best Fish and Chips of my life. The Malva pudding for dessert was heavenly.
There is Live Music on Friday nights from 7pm – 10pm and for the duration of winter they are having a Sunday Roast lunch special.
This is a restaurant of distinction and I am sure you will love the experience of Floreal Brasserie. It is a new restaurant only being open six months and I guarantee it is going to be hugely popular. It is a rare and special find.
Thank you Floreal Brasserie for a wonderful evening and delicious food. I look forward to my next visit.
