Hubby and I where spoilt with a wonderful night of luxury in a Villa Suite at Franschhoek Country House and Villas and it was the perfect location for a romantic night away. The manager, Ben, and his staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and pampered at this stunning five-star luxury accommodation in the picturesque town of Franschhoek surrounded by enchanting vineyards and majestic mountains.
On arrival we were warmly greeted at Reception. Check in was a smooth process and then we were escorted to our gorgeous Villa. While we were admiring our stunning room a knock on the door drew our attention back to reality and two glasses of champagne where delivered. This was the perfect start to a relaxing break from the craziness that is life. We relaxed in our lovely lounge with some Michael Buble, which was in the Villa entertainment system! Perfect moments like this are rare. Moment savoured. Complete relaxation.
On return to our Villa from dinner the room was beautifully turned down for the evening complete with chocolates on the pillow, weather forecast for the following day and hot water bottles in our bed.
It is conveniently located on Main Road 1 km from the town making it the perfect place to stay while exploring this quaint town and wine region. The grounds are immaculately looked after, the setting is spectacular, staff are welcoming and friendly and the personalised service and attention to detail is exceptional completing the outstanding five-star experience at this country retreat.
Complimentary sherry can be enjoyed in one of the comfortable Guest Lounges next to a crackling log-fire, ideal for chilly winters. For summer months there are two pools (one heated) with beautiful mountain views to savour.
Breakfast is included and it outstanding! There is an excellent selection on the buffet including fruit, yoghurt, cereal, croissants, muffins, breads, cheeses, cured meats, smoked salmon and a hot breakfast can be ordered from the menu. It was simply a delicious start to another glorious day in this glorious valley.

The charming and picturesque town of Franschhoek is located approximately one hour from Cape Town. It has a strong French heritage founded by the French Huguenots in 1688 who bought with them their traditions and knowledge in wine making and viticulture and transformed the area into one of the most beautiful valleys in the world. It is known as the Wine & Gourmet Capital of South Africa with numerous outstanding restaurants for you to choose from, and several talented chefs who have been awarded the highest national and international culinary honours. It is a breath-taking wine region to explore with some of.
