Groot Constantia (Child-friendly)

Nestled in the lush Constantia Valley you will find South Africa’s oldest wine producing farm, with rich heritage and a beautiful setting this is a very memorable farm to visit. It is now a National Monument and a living museum preserving the history of the South African wine industry. They have been producing handcrafted wine since 1685. Beau Constantia

The modern boutique winery, Beau Constantia, is situated at the top end of the Constantia Valley known as Constantia Nek. From here you can enjoy the most stunning views of the Constantia Valley and False Bay. Glass windows surround the modern tasting lounge for you to enjoy the panoramic views from all tables as you taste their wine or enjoy a bottle. Steenberg

Steenberg Vineyards was established in 1682 and has been transformed in an ultra stylish, modern winery offering a unique wine tasting experience. There are various wine tasting areas to choose from, you can taste in the Wine Tasting Bar, Lounge or Terrace. There are two restaurants Catharina’s Restaurant offers a fine dining experience and Bistro Sixteen 82 serves bistro-style fare and tapas. The chic décor includes a water feature and an infinity pool. The Estate also hosts a luxury 5 Star Boutique Hotel and Golf course.

Buitenverwachting (Child-friendly)

This beautiful wine farm set in the heart of the picturesque Constantia Valley was originally apart of the Constantia Estate founded by Simon van der Stel. Buitenverwachting, meaning “Beyond Expectation”, will certainly impress with its magnificent setting, outstanding wine and extremely popular restaurant. Estate wine can be tasted in the Wine Tasting Centre. The Coffee Bloc serves delicious coffee, homemade cakes and pastries prepared daily. Breakfast and light lunches are also available. Picnics can be pre-booked from November to April and enjoyed on their beautiful lawns under the oak trees. Tables, chairs and blankets are provided.
