Child Friendly Breakfast Restaurants in Cape Town

I love having breakfast out with the kids, here are some of our favourite places to go around our beautiful city, Cape Town!

The Bakery at Jordan Wine Estate

One of my new favourites is The Bakery Restaurant at Jordan Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. The food and coffee are outstanding, and the view breathtaking making it a winner for us. It is definitely a treat to dine here. There is a relaxed atmosphere, evident in the modern, yet simple décor in neutral shades with a splash of red, where visitors can unwind and enjoy the freshly produced fare amongst the aromas of baking bread, pastries and freshly brewed coffee. There is no jungle gym but the beautiful lawns in front of the outside deck provide plenty of space for kids to play and explore.

The restaurant has modern décor with beautiful furniture and solid wood tables. The restaurant serves a delicious contemporary breakfast menu and there is a little VIP’s menu for kids. The play area is still in view of the outside tables, if your children are older and do not need to be supervised while playing. The play area is beautiful, one of the best I’ve seen. They have taken pride in constructing this for our little ones, specially handcrafted with a large jungle gym, slide, swings and handcrafted wooden animals. Safety is of top priority at Vergelegen with spongy flooring and even with the small trickle of water is purified, and ideal for kids to wet in the summer heat. The view with the mountains in the background is breathtaking, it almost feels tranquil (if that’s possible with kids ?).
