The Western Cape’s largest and most beloved playpark is celebrating a milestone birthday. On 9 December 2017, Bugz Playpark is marking their 10th birthday with an exclusive bash to celebrate a decade of parties, play dates, and fun.
From 9am to 5pm party-goers can enjoy the park’s rides in addition to being treated to the most popular activities delighted over the past 10 years. A mime artist, magic show by Regardt Laubscher, performance by Limited Edition Drum Corps SA, character parade and so much more will add to the celebration.
From a small hotdog stand and horse rides in 2007, Bugz has prospered and worked hard towards becoming a destination that sparks imagination, and develops core skills in growing children. The park has seen customers increase from a small handful of people, to hosting almost 1 000 specialised kid’s parties every year.
Bugz Playpark was founded by Lise Liebenberg, with her vast knowledge and passion for teaching and child development. After visiting over 30 playparks around the world, Lise had a clear vision of what she aimed to build here in South Africa, “I wanted to create a place where we would preserve the magic of being a child for all children including those with disabilities.” With international insight, and an entrepreneurial drive, Lise created Bugz.
The playpark offers the most diverse play experiences for kids between the ages of 2 to 10. The enormous shaded outdoor playpark as well as the large indoor area filled with obstacles, slides, educational boards and challenges are intended to keep attention spans going while allowing creativity to overflow. The outdoor playground is everything a child can imagine – swings, jungle gyms, maps, peddle carts and waterslides; each activity stimulates little minds, builds motor skills and burns energy the fun way!
Lise’s five year goal is to improve the park’s offering by developing a more extensive toddler section. Her vision is to implement a series of unstructured play pods where kids are able to create dens and structures from loose parts, to further enhance their learning experience. An adventure farm park is also on the cards just outside of Stellenbosch. The emphasis for this new venture will be natural play, inclusive play and family play.
Tickets for the birthday bash can be purchased on Bugz Playpark’s, website. No tickets will be sold on the day.
Ticket prices and event experiences may vary depending on the child’s age, and exclude token activities:
